Impact of High Temperature on Dry-Mix Mortar Production Lines and Countermeasures

In high-temperature weather, the operation of dry-mix mortar production lines faces many challenges, which not only affect production efficiency but also relate to product quality and equipment service life. Therefore, it is essential to gain an in-depth understanding of the impacts caused by high temperatures and formulate practical countermeasures.

High temperature has a significant impact on the raw materials of dry-mix mortar production lines. On the one hand, high temperature accelerates the evaporation of moisture in materials, leading to a decrease in material humidity and affecting mixing uniformity. For example, uneven humidity in main raw materials such as sand and cement will cause fluctuations in the performance of finished mortar. On the other hand, the chemical activity of some additives changes under high temperatures, reducing the optimization effect on mortar performance. In the production process, high temperature increases the fluidity of materials, which easily causes materials to adhere to the inner wall of pipes during transportation. This not only increases the difficulty of cleaning but may also lead to pipe blockage, affecting continuous production. At the same time, the friction of materials in the mixer intensifies, and the temperature rises further, which may cause local overheating, accelerate equipment wear, and have an adverse impact on product quality.

From the perspective of equipment operation, the high-temperature environment increases the heat dissipation burden of the equipment. Key components such as motors and reducers that operate at high temperatures for a long time are prone to overheating, accelerating the aging of insulating materials, shortening the service life of the equipment, and even causing failures and production interruptions. Moreover, high temperature reduces the viscosity of lubricating oil, deteriorates the lubricating performance, and causes increased wear of various moving parts of the equipment.

To address these issues, a series of effective strategies can be adopted. In terms of raw material management, raw materials stored in the open air should be covered for sunshade, and spray cooling should be used when necessary to stabilize material humidity. Strengthen the frequency of raw material testing and adjust the production formula in a timely manner according to changes in humidity. In terms of production process optimization, appropriately reduce the mixer speed and extend the mixing time to ensure full and uniform mixing of materials. At the same time, adjust the conveying speed of the conveying equipment to reduce the residence time of materials in the pipeline and lower the risk of adhesion. For equipment operation, improve the ventilation conditions of the production workshop, install cooling equipment such as exhaust fans and air conditioners to reduce the operating environment temperature of the equipment. Regularly inspect the lubrication system of the equipment, and timely supplement or replace lubricating oil with appropriate viscosity. In addition, reasonably arrange the working hours of the equipment, avoid long-term continuous operation, and set equipment shutdown and rest time during high-temperature periods, which can not only protect the equipment but also ensure the safety and health of operators. Through these measures, the negative impact of high temperature on the dry-mix mortar production line can be effectively reduced, and the smooth progress of production and the stability of product quality can be guaranteed.
